An experience

I love making handmades especially when someone orders to design something. Clay pendants was something i picked up just a few months ago. I made 3 pendants out of which i liked just one, obviously everything takes practice. I also made a neck chord out of embroidery thread so its more casual in a way. I tend to like stuff like that. So when i finally had them done, I posted it online and the response was over whelming :) At least i think :)

Virali spotted the design she sent me a few samples of handmade pendants in air dry clay and finally she ordered to make a matching necklace to her sari - Orange, yellow and purple to the center.

I designed it when she was right next to me but designing is always a challenge for me. If i design, i cannot stick to it, my mind wanders many aspects while I am making handmades. Its better practically than to sketch and not stick to the design :P

Anyways, I designed a few times but I wasn’t quite happy with the outcome and its my policy to like something before it is done. I don’t panic….I take a LOT of time to get it right even it is the 100th time. As a growing artist, I think one has to try and get closer to perfection even if not perfectly perfect. So, I try as many times as possible until I am absolutely satisfied. I start feeling guilty if something is not done completely :P I know.. It happens :D

The order sounded simple; Shape - Rhombus and the colors.. First time I drew it on the paper, I made a trapezium! :P I couldn’t believe it.. I was probably Coffee-deprived :P

So, after I think 4 attempts, I got the shape right... Then came the coloring thankfully i did try to do it less than 2 times to get them right... And i knew something was missing as it was just too plain, so i added the Ball chains - Violet/Purple (I think I maybe color blind :P). And after I think one month, I had them done and satisfied :)

On August 12th, 2014 Virali had received her necklace :P Its a day to remember! <3

Thank you Virali for ever believing in my designs and for your patience :)
