**Rains**

In the monsoon time when the rain is heavy and your business is not just "usual", the "usual" thought is "What happened? Hello?” I have been there and I have not done that :)

So here are a few things you could do during the rain :)

Make some new ideas, designs, and blogs, give away. I personally feel and take this time for experiments, I usually work on my previous designs or ideas which I could not work on. Browse through the internet to "get inspired".

Once you have your ideas ready, check with your clientele that you have already built. Talk to them    about your ideas and let the thought ponder their mind :). I generally don’t do this unless it’s a personal custom piece but it feels like a good option.

You have the ideas ready, you have discussed with your clients and that should set you with a rough estimated time to get it done. Take your time. If you are done early is good but don’t give yourself harsh timelines. I take a lot of time in creating my handmades and I generally give 2-3 weeks’ notice to my clients so I can anticipate it late. Sometimes though, it takes a little (lot) longer if it’s one of a kind handmades that I am working on for the first time.

Post a few updates on your Social Media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Blog, etc.). I regularly use my Facebook page and later share it on my personal page as well in a way to spread the creativity. You never know how things will turn out. Many of my friends of Facebook now place an order with me, many i have met after over a decade :) Feels good :)

Until you get a few orders coming through, you could still show your creativity. Take feedbacks and continue working on your designs.

Never at any time take this on yourself that you are the reason to this and your designs are not good enough. One thing you should learn in handmades or any designing product is to stay positive. This will help you to create new designs and build your skills.

There are also a few days when I have a pile of orders, I just cannot get my mind to it. It just happens :) The creativity needs time to flow in my head.

I hope this post was helpful because I have been there but dealt it the same way that I am sharing with you.

Have a lovely day!
Thanks,
Sree
